Sovereignty Council VP Meets with Russian Security Council Secretary

Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Vice-President of the Sovereign Council, discussed in the Russian capital, Moscow, with the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, aspects of cooperation between Sudan and Russia in all fields and at all bilateral and international levels.
The two sides emphasized the depth of relations between the two countries, which are based on the promotion of common interests and mutual respect.
The two sides secured the activation of all previous agreements in the economic, diplomatic, political, and security fields, and the exchange of experiences, training, capacity building, and technology transfer.
The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council praised Russia’s stances towards Sudan, especially the support and bond it has been providing to Sudan in international forums, stressing Sudan’s desire to strengthen this coordination more broadly during the next stage and to build strategic partnerships that achieve the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
For his part, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council expressed his satisfaction with the level of advanced relations between the two countries, stressing their quest to double the existing coordination at all levels in the interest of the two countries, pointing to the need to double joint work and cooperation in the economic and diplomatic fields during the coming period.
